Day in the Life of a Digital Marketing Apprentice – Joe
Before the Apprenticeship
Upon completing my education, I never really knew what I wanted to do going forward. During my stay at home, I knew the worst thing I could do was to do nothing with my time. I found myself a job in retail working as a Customer Service Assistant during the holidays, whilst thinking about my future.
The first time I developed a curiosity for Marketing was when my Uncle, a PPC Specialist, first described what his job entailed. In my own time, I took the delegation to look into all the possibilities and roles in marketing. I began to take tests to hone my skill sets in digital marketing and eventually became a PPC Specialist beginner. After I knew that I was ready to move forward in this line of work, I applied for as many agencies as I could. Eventually QA took up my request and set me up at Never Average Marketing, which allowed me to gain first hand knowledge of the workplace.
My Role as a Digitial Marketing Apprentice
It took me a while to settle into the workplace and develop my position in the business; the apprenticeship greatly increased my independence and management skills. Being in a team of 4 denotes a responsibility over many different services that our business provides. Never Average Marketing handles tasks with teamwork and a great sense of management with software to note the completion of tasks.
Here is some of my key responsibilities within NAM:
● Copywriting blogs and content for social media platforms.
● Developing visual content for social media and blogs
● Developing PPC campaigns
● Website Audits and Data analysing
● Email Marketing
● Social Media Management
My Apprenticeship will last 1 year and I intend to go full time within the business. Before the end of my apprenticeship, I aim to stake my claim in the business and make myself profitable to the business. In the near future, I plan to fully manage the PPC for NAM.
