Joe’s Apprenticeship; Year Update

I have been working at Never Average Marketing for a year now and in this blog, I will be
describing my experiences and ambitions for myself in my role. When I first started I found
the position quite daunting as being a marketer connotes a lot of autonomy and
self-management. Never Average Marketing took this into account and we’re very supportive
all the way through. After settling in, I found myself managing my routine better and
negotiating to take on more advanced projects.

Alongside the work experience, I saw that my digital marketing learning was greatly helping
me understand the intricacies of marketing and develop my skill set. I began to feel more
comfortable raising ideas for my business and knew I could rely on the team for assistance.

I have taken it upon myself to take additional courses to better understand all the different
aspects of digital marketing and will continue to learn in the future. I wish to be able to
proudly understand and talk about what my role entails in the future.

Working at NAM I have gained a lot of confidence in myself and am able to handle tasks with
efficiency and tact. We are currently working to give more people like myself the chance to
gain experience in a real workplace and join a supportive team through the NAMateers
training academy. This provides valuable knowledge that employees seek.
