Keely’s China Walk

Never Average Marketing has some amazing news! Our very own Keely Beighton will be trekking a section of the Great Wall of China for Breast Cancer Now in October, 2022. This Charity is very dear to her family and Our Breast Cancer’s fight and the Support for Research and care has stirred Keely to take on the challenge! Here’s a little from the superstar herself: 

Hello everyone and if you don’t know me my name is Keely Beighton – I am a 40 something mother of three. I have several small businesses based in Sheffield. Never Average Marketing Ltd (https://neveraveragemarketing.com), founder/creator of Yorkshire Information Point . (https://yipmedia.co.uk/), and Plus Pizza A Mano a street food business who make delicious Pizza  

So life can be and is a little busy / crazy at times however this challenge and especially this charity is something very dear to my heart and my family’s, as back in 2002 we faced the biggest challenge of our lives. 

My mum discovered that she had breast cancer at the very young age of 47. Whilst it was totally devastating for the whole family , it was in parts a total blessing. 

My mum was part of a research programme in Sheffield at the time looking at starting the mammogram programme at the much earlier age of 45 years old for women in the UK. Being part of the research programme, truly saved her life. 

We feel my mum had a guardian angel during that time , and is very lucky to have been on the research programme . 

I personally had just given birth to my first son and my mum’s first grandchild less then a week previous to the life changing new’s and mums diagnosis . So whilst it was perhaps one of the most difficult times in our life’s , we still managed to feel totally blessed and gained courage to fight and be strong .
