Day in the life of a digital marketing apprentice – Emily
Roles and responsibilities
As there are so many different businesses within our office including a sweet shop, a distribution company, a digital and print marketing company and a media company, my role involves a lot of changing hats. I am involved in all of these businesses in some aspect, whether it’s an email marketing campaign, managing social media accounts or writing articles for our monthly papers.
A major part of my role is organising, planning and managing campaigns and projects as well as the businesses as a whole, setting tasks and deadlines for my team members. I also liaise with a wide range of clients.
Aspects of the job
I enjoy the creative side of the job such as filming and editing videos for our various TikTok accounts, creating graphics for social media or email campaigns and writing content for our blogs or paper. On the other hand, I excel at planning and organising which will come in useful when I am setting deadlines for my team.
I am nearing the end of my apprenticeship now and along the way I have gained many valuable skills. I have built a fully functioning website for a client using my newly gained knowledge of coding and WordPress. The apprenticeship has allowed me to greatly increase my confidence.
Once I have completed my apprenticeship, I am moving into a management role within Never Average Marketing. I have already started to experience this role by managing our newest apprentice Joe (look out for his version of A Day in the Life soon!)
